NoiseBreaker Ear Plugs For The Food & Drink Industry

Environments where food and drink are prepared or manufactured are well-known for being extremely noisy. For people that work within these environments, it is important to take steps to protect your hearing from becoming damaged. Ear plugs are undoubtedly the best solution, but not all of these will offer the same high level of protection.

That’s where our NoiseBreakers® come in. These are guaranteed to provide you with complete protection even against the loudest of noise.

Our Emtec NoiseBreaker is a vented, custom moulded earplug, made of silicone rubber and designed to fit a person’s individual concha bowl and ear canal perfectly. It’s simple to insert and comfortable to wear, even when combined with other PPE including, for instance, helmets, safety glasses and breathing apparatus.

Even the most strenuous of activities does not affect performance as the NoiseBreaker’s perfect fit means they will not move. Subsequently they provide laboratory levels of protection in a variety of environments.

They’re the perfect environmentally-friendly choice, being made of a medical grade silicone rubber which doesn’t have any effect on the environment.

Additionally, due to their much more permanent nature, the NoiseBreakers eliminate waste that ensues from disposable ear plugs.

NoiseBreakers can be supplied in a soft, non-allergenic, metal-detectable silicone, attached together with a tear-resistant, metal-detectable rubber cord.

If you work in the food and drink industry and would like to find out more about our NoiseBreaker ear plugs, please feel free to get in touch.

The fact that NoiseBreakers® are individually tailored has a number of advantages; namely they are comfortable and therefore achieve a high level of acceptance by the wearer, in contrast to the conventional disposable plugs and ear muffs. Also they allow the wearer to communicate easily, but at the same time afford excellent protection.

Attenuation Data

H 28
M 21
L 17
SNR 25.3

Due to the perfect fit of NoiseBreakers, they work in the real world as they do in the laboratory and therefore the Standard Deviation is minimal. Hence to get a true picture of the attenuation of NoiseBreakers, the Mean Attenuation at each frequency is the key number, rather than the SNR (Single Number Rating)

Attenuation details on NoiseBreakers tested at Salford University Department of Applied Acoustics EN352-2:2002.
