NoiseBreaker Ear Plugs For The Military

As part of the military, it’s likely you’re exposed to high levels of noise on a regular basis. Without taking steps to ensure you are fully protected, it is possible that you could suffer long term hearing issues. Ear plugs are the best solution to guarantee your protection, but it’s vital to ensure you’re using the right kind; a type that will fit your ear perfectly, subsequently providing you with complete protection.

Emtec’s NoiseBreaker® ear plug is vented, personally moulded and tailor-made of silicone rubber to perfectly fit an individual’s ear canal and concha bowl. This personal-fitting means the NoiseBreaker can be worn comfortably even when combined with breathing apparatus, helmets, safety glasses or any other PPE.

Full hearing protection is guaranteed, even at high laboratory levels, thanks to their perfect fit, meaning they won’t move even under the most strenuous of activity.

Unlike disposable ear plugs, they eliminate waste, they have absolutely no adverse effect on the environment (as they’re made from medical grade silicone rubber – a derivative of silica) and they have a much more permanent nature.

I had a set of NoiseBreakers made in 2010 through the military. They have been the BEST set of ear defence that I have ever used. And have worn them endlessly on two separate six month deployments.

We supply personalised ear plugs to the military so if you’d like to find out more or place your order, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

The NoiseBreaker

The fact that NoiseBreakers® are individually tailored has a number of advantages; namely they are comfortable and therefore achieve a high level of acceptance by the wearer, in contrast to the conventional disposable plugs and ear muffs. Also they allow the wearer to communicate easily, but at the same time afford excellent protection.

Attenuation Data

SNR 25.3

Due to the perfect fit of NoiseBreakers, they work in the real world as they do in the laboratory and therefore the Standard Deviation is minimal. Hence to get a true picture of the attenuation of NoiseBreakers, the Mean Attenuation at each frequency is the key number, rather than the SNR (Single Number Rating)

Attenuation details on NoiseBreakers tested at Salford University Department of Applied Acoustics EN352-2:2002.
